Superface. The sound mixes up big rock noises, heavy funk breakbeats, brooding atmosphere and catchy hooks. This stuff is modern, raw and infectious like the plague. Think Hendrix, Audioslave, and Ian Brown with a touch of Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails and Klaxons and you get somewhere near. This project is the brainchild of guitarist and producer Robin Durbin. After a good stretch spent paying his dues on the live music scene including support for Jamiroquai, Beverley Knight, Maceo Parker, Samantha Mumba, A1 and LibertyX he has returned to the studio to record his debut release, a digital EP entitled “State Your Business”.
